We've got a new President... Now what?
Now that the election is over and prices have been slashed on Obama buttons, I'm wondering if there's any reason to watch the news for awhile.  It's been an angst-filled year, but the election is over... now what? Gossip!  The LA Times reports that Fox News reports that Palin apparently went rogue a long time ago.  She reportedly resisted coaching before blowing the her Katie Couric interview, didn't know Africa was a continent and not just one big country, and couldn't name the 3 countries that participate in NAFTA.  Psst.. hey Palin, here's a hint:  they're all in North America!  That coaching might've been beneficial, though it still perplexes me why she didn't have a stock answer ready when asked why being able to see Russia from her house was a foreign policy credential.          Remember that?  I love ho...

I love how she makes a dig at reporters while sitting in front of one, too.  What a class act.  The Office of the Chief of Protocol is breathing a collective sigh of relief that they won't have to train this monkey.

Speaking of foreign policy and protocol, y'all heard about when the two comedians from Quebec prank called her, right?

Amazing.  A nice lady, but if that's how the leaders of nations talk to one another, I've obviously been slumming it for far too long.  I wonder if Queen Rania of Jordan would like to go fishing with me sometime...

Geez... I guess I just can't stop poking fun at Sarah Palin... or listening to this goofy prank call.

What's everyone else doing during their electoral refractory period?

true that, though i don't mind paying taxes as long as something good is done with the money. i'm from new orleans, so i'm a little leery of the government's ability to do good. i know folks in galveston who still don't have power after hurricane ike... that's bush's home state, which i know he loves, so who knows... gubmint. *hmph*
