Hi, I'm the Atom Site Editor, and we've got a few things to cover, but before we do, I'd like to introduce you to our newest team member Gilly:

Thanks, Gilly. To explain things a bit more... Like butterfly wings sprouting from the caterpillar (or maybe it's more like a teenager removing his head gear), the video site formerly known as AtomFilms has morphed into what we now simply call Atom.

We recently came to recognize the unique phenomenon that is taking place in Web comedy. Essentially, the internet is to comedy clubs what the prosthetic limb is to the peg leg; that is to say, the new frontier of comedy is entirely online.

So we ditched the AtomFilms moniker, as well as all of our videos that don't fall under the comedy sort. This was a strange mix of pain and excitement, not unlike a lover extinguishing a cigarette on your rib cage. But we're thrilled to now focus all of our efforts on breaking new comedy talent, as well as giving established creators a place to stretch their legs (or as the case may be, gonads).

So enjoy browsing all of the new comedy content. And if you fancy yourself a funnyman, upload your work and maybe you'll become an Upload Showdown winner and find yourself on Atom TV on Comedy Central.
