Whereas I saw your video linked from reddit.com! Which means a ton of people are seeing your video as it is virally distributed on a very interesting website, which is pretty cool.

And Hi! My name is David Sophia-Siegel, & I'm a music composer/song-writer with a background in doing music for all sorts of theater & film productions - comedy and drama, ambient music, film/theatrical stingers, more classical or semi-classical work (in the vein of, say, Yann Tiersen or Danny Elfman or Goran Bregovic or Moondog), as well as a bunch of just straight up rock & roll stuff. And some stingers here & there. And I just did a few songs for a dark comedy feature length indie release called, "The Snake," which features Margaret Cho and was shown at SXSW this year, and has also been shown all over LA by Patton Oswalt!

You can hear a lot of my past musics here:

These songs largely use samples from which I have since by FAR upgraded (now I use East West and Vienna stuff), but those are what I'd been up to lately, including a recent ambient score for a short film and some more musical theater, so I'm always branching out into new & interesting areas. The I have a variety of instrumentals up there, and also some songs with lyrics - as well as a whole rock band full of music if that appeals to you:

And, actually, I very recently finished an early mix of a song I've been working on for a film project based in Maryland; it's an acoustic ballad-esque song with some classical flourishes that you can hear here:

And early mix, but kind of nice still! Need to update the vocals & such, but there's some nice business there I think.

Drop me a line if something grabs you! I'd love to do some work for or with you sometime. It'd be fun!

At any rate, nice work, & hope to see more from y'all.

-David

Hey, DM. A friend in the business posted your video on FaceBook, and that's how I saw it. It's fantastic. Sexy, well made, funny. So, what is DMP going to be?
My curiosity is personal and professional; I'm a film-maker (steve mahone) with a couple of small features I've either written or directed or both. I also make videos in the "heroine in peril" fetish market (http://www.shg-media.com/), so what you're doing interests me on several different levels.
Anyway, great work! If you want to share, hit me back.
