That is an easy one to explain. The hallway in the shoot was actually a fake set. Our "Joker" was standing off set and was cued into position while the door was open and blocking the camera's view of the back wall. The director Gregory Milne came up with the idea.

I like the opening for the Batman fan film. How'd you do the guy behind the door? Was he on the floor and stood up when the door opened? It's a great trick. Simple, but great.
